SSAB Americas President David Britten and AISI President and CEO Thomas J. Gibson Take to the Airwaves

SSAB Americas President David Britten and AISI President and CEO Thomas J. Gibson teamed up on September 2 to record two radio news spots on currency and transportation. The currency spot called on Congressional support for the bi-partisan legislation introduced by Reps. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) and Tim Murphy (R-Pa.), the Currency Reform for Fair Trade Act (H.R. 2387). The transportation clip emphasized the urgency for Congress to pass a six-year transportation reauthorization bill to rebuild our roads, highways and bridges.

The radio news spots aired this month in eight targeted steel-intensive states: Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, North Carolina, South Carolina, Indiana, Pennsylvania and Alabama. More than a million listeners tuned in from targeted areas including Philadelphia, Pa., Detroit, Mich., Cleveland, Ohio, Indianapolis, Ind., Birmingham, Ala. and Charleston, S.C. The radio spots also aired outside the targeted states. A few examples include Louisville, KY., Mobile-Pensacola, Fla. and Parkersburg, W.Va.
